Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using the GotNext Bot
Last Updated: February 21, 2026
IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS AGREEMENT IS SUBJECT TO BINDING ARBITRATION AND A WAIVER OF CLASS ACTION RIGHTS AS DETAILED IN SECTION 11 BELOW.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are entered into between you and GotNext LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("GotNext," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the GotNext Bot Discord bot and the bot.gotnext.gg website (the "Service"), including any content, functionality, and features offered through the Service.
The GotNext Bot is a Discord bot that provides ELO-based competitive matchmaking, ranked queues, leaderboards, and Looking for Group (LFG) features for Discord servers. The bot.gotnext.gg website provides a web dashboard for server administrators to manage their queues, players, and settings.
By using the GotNext Bot or the bot.gotnext.gg website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use the Service, consistent with Discord's minimum age requirement. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
We reserve the right to request proof of age and to terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.
2. The Service
Discord Bot Features
The GotNext Bot provides the following capabilities:
- Ranked Queues: ELO-based matchmaking with configurable team sizes, balanced or captain/snake draft modes, and map selection
- Player Management: Registration, ELO tracking, win/loss records, MVP tracking, and ban management
- Leaderboards: Server-specific leaderboards with ELO ratings, rankings, and tier badges
- Seasons: Automatic or manual season resets with configurable duration and reset type (hard or soft)
- LFG (Looking for Group): Players can create posts to find others to play with, with configurable expiry and group sizes
- ELO Tiers & Roles: Automatic Discord role assignment based on ELO tier thresholds

Web Dashboard
Server administrators can log in at bot.gotnext.gg to manage their server's queues, view and edit player stats, configure ELO tiers, manage permissions, view seasons, and manage LFG settings. The dashboard requires Discord OAuth2 authentication and is available only to users with Administrator permission in the linked Discord server.
Public Leaderboards
Each server gets a public leaderboard page that anyone can view without logging in. These display player rankings, ELO ratings, and match statistics.
3. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate the matchmaking or ELO system
- Participate in match fixing, win trading, or ELO manipulation
- Create or use multiple Discord accounts to circumvent bans
- Deliberately false-report match results
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' data, or the bot's infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
- Use any automated means to interact with the bot outside of Discord's API
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disassemble, or decompile any part of the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to the community. Server administrators may also ban players from their server's queues using the bot's ban commands.
4. Server Administrator Responsibilities
Discord server administrators who invite the GotNext Bot to their server agree to:
- Ensure the bot has the necessary Discord permissions (Manage Channels, Manage Roles, Manage Nicknames, Send Messages) for proper operation
- Position the bot's role above player and moderator roles in the Discord role hierarchy for nickname and role management to work
- Use admin commands (ban, ELO adjustment, match overturns) fairly and responsibly
- Manage their server's community in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
- Not use the bot or its features for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes
Server administrators can delegate permissions to specific Discord roles via the dashboard or bot commands. Administrators are responsible for managing who has access to admin commands in their server.
5. Bot Permissions and Data Access
When invited to a Discord server, the GotNext Bot requests the following permissions:
- Manage Channels — Not currently used; reserved for future features
- Manage Roles — To assign and remove ELO tier roles automatically
- Manage Nicknames — To update player nicknames with ELO ratings
- Send Messages — To post match results, queue updates, and leaderboards

The bot only operates in servers where it has been explicitly invited by a server administrator. You can remove the bot from your server at any time through Discord's server settings.

9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Server administrators may remove the bot from their server at any time.

10. Communications
The bot may send messages in Discord channels where it has been configured to operate. The bot does not send unsolicited direct messages. All bot communications occur within the context of the server where it has been invited.
11. Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT MAY SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.
These provisions apply to you if you are domiciled in and/or use the Service in the United States or Canada.
Initial Dispute Resolution
Most concerns are quickly resolved through informal communication. The parties shall use their best efforts to settle any dispute through consultation and good faith negotiations, which shall be a precondition to either party initiating a lawsuit or arbitration.
Binding Arbitration
If the parties do not reach an agreed-upon solution within thirty (30) days from the time informal dispute resolution is pursued, then either party may initiate binding arbitration as the sole means to formally resolve claims. All claims shall be finally settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
Class Action Waiver
THE PARTIES AGREE THAT ANY ARBITRATION SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN THEIR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITIES ONLY AND NOT AS A CLASS ACTION OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. The parties expressly waive their right to file a class action or seek relief on a class basis.
Exception: Small Claims
Either party may bring an action in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.
12. General Provisions
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on the Service and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GotNext regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
